The translation workshop from English to Italian, is subdivided in two laboratories, and allows participants to work with various translators with the presence of the authors themselves at the festival: for the 1st workshop, Franca Cavagnoli, Jamaica Kincaid, Matteo Campagnoli and the Nobel prize winning poet Derek Walcott; for the 2nd workshop Riccardo Duranti, Sandra Cisneros, Monica Morzenti and Ha Jin.
To complete the course, will be a lecture on editorial work by Francesco Colombo, editor of foreign and Italian narrative of Baldini Castoldi Dalai, and on his theories on translation, accompanied by poet and expert in the science of translation Franco Buffoni. There will also be lessons on German to Italian by experts Donata Berra and Gabriella de’Grandi.
