Elena Boc’orisvili

Elena Botchorichvili was born in Batumi, Georgia, and now lives in Montreal. She writes in Russian but her books, translated in several languages, are not published in either Russia or Georgia. To confront the recent history of her country, she made up a personal genre, the “stenographic novel”, composed by short sentences, thin nuances and dark humor.
