Oltre i confini della parola
A portarci oltre i confini della parola in questa terza edizione è il sorprendente spettacolo dei Tiger Lillies, gruppo grand-guignol britannico che in Literary Lillies si esibisce nelle trasposizioni musicali del Pierino Porcospino e degli inquietanti racconti di Lovecraft, ma anche una mostra di uno dei maestri assoluti della fotografia mondiale, Walker Evans, con Sia lode ora a uomini di fama e altre serie esposte al Museo Villa dei Cedri, un video di Kara Walker al Teatro Sociale e il ciclo cineBabel curato dal Circolo del cinema.
Per finire il workshop e gli Extra: il programma per le scuole, la biblioteca di Babel, la tenda di Rete Due e il barBabel.

Au délà des frontières des mots
Le surprenant spectacle des Tiger Lillies, groupe Grand Guignol britannique qui dans « Literary Lillies » propose des transpositions musicales de Pierre l’ébouriffé et des inquiétantes nouvelles de Lovecraft, n’est pas le seul à nous porter au-delà des frontières linguistiques ; nous aurons également la chance de découvrir des œuvres de l’un des maîtres absolus de la photographie mondiale, Walker Evans, avec Let Us Now Praise Famous Men et d’autres séries, présentées au Musée Villa dei Cedri, ainsi que un vidéo de Kara Walker au Teatro Sociale et le cycle cineBabel, organisé par le Circolo del cinema.
Et encore les ateliers de traduction, le programme pour les écoles, la bibliothèque de Babel, la tente de Rete Due et le bar Babel.

Beyond the boundaries of words
To take us beyond the boundaries of words in the third edition of Babel is the breathtaking performance by the Tiger Lillies, a British grand guignolesque band, who in Literary Lilies performs the musical translations of Shockheaded Peter and the troubling tales of H.P Lovecraft. But also an exhibition of one of the most important photographers of the 20th Century, Walker Evans, Let us now praise famous men, accompanied by an exhibition by Swiss photographer Theo Frey at the Villa dei Cedri, the projection of a video by Kara Walker at Teatro Sociale, and the weeks of cineBabel curated by Circolo del cinema.
Finally the workshop and the Extra: the program for the schools, the Babel library, the Rete Due stand and barBabel.
